We are looking for an “R&D and Engineering Director” for our global automotive client based in Kocaeli.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputable university,
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in R&D/Product Development within the automotive industry and at least 5 years of team management and leadership experience,
- Strong knowledge of product development processes (APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, testing & validation, prototype management),
- Experience in working with OEM and/or Tier-1 customers and managing global projects,
- Solid understanding of automotive quality management systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001,
- Proven experience in engineering change management (ECN/ECR) processes,
- Demonstrated track record in R&D budget planning, cost improvement and efficiency projects,
- Strong analytical thinking, strategic planning and project management skills,
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management capabilities,
- Advanced command of English,
- Residing in or willing to relocate to Kocaeli.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and implement the company’s R&D and Engineering strategy in alignment with the global headquarters,
- Manage all stages of product development, including prototyping, testing & validation and handover to mass production,
- Work closely with customer, sales, quality and production teams to ensure smooth technical execution of new projects,
- Manage the R&D budget, resource planning and organizational structure; support the development of the team and strengthen the engineering organization,
- Manage global reporting and project tracking processes and provide regular performance and progress reports to top management.
